Scheduling Dates and Timelines
Requesting Courses
COURSE REQUEST PROCESS - In Skyward, students select the course they are required to take (cores) and are interested in taking (electives) for the next school year. This process is open from: February 17th through February 20th.
2026-2027 Scheduling Timeline
VIRTUAL/NEW COURSE ELECTIVE FAIR: February 13th - All departments will have the opportunity to create video messages to describe their programming. During CAV time, students will be shown a video of how to course request and given access to all videos of elective and new courses.
Friday, February 13th - Scheduling video will be pushed out to all students (8-11). Video will explain the schedule offerings and then the “how to” video will instruct all students on selecting courses in Skyward.
Wednesday, February 18th - There will be a scheduling meeting in the High School LGI Room from 7-8pm for parents of 8th grade students to share an overview of the scheduling process. The meeting will be encouraged in person, but will also be available online for parents who cannot attend. Please see information below to join the Google Meet:

Tuesday, February 17th - Friday, February 20th - All current 9th-11th grade students can submit course requests from Tuesday, February 17th through Friday, February 20th. Students will be held in CAV Rooms on Friday, Feb 20th to verify this process has been completed. Beginning on Monday, February 23rd, students will NOT be permitted to leave CAV room until they have submitted their course requests.
Wednesday, February 25th: 8th-grade students will make course requests in Science classes with the assistance of the high school counselors.
SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHEDULING: Beginning February 17th all Special Education teachers will begin meeting with their students and entering course requests. This will include the current 8th-grade special education students, who will complete the scheduling process with both their current special education teacher as well as a representative of the high school special education department.
Monday, February 23rd - Wednesday, March 4th: HS School Counselors will review and finalize all 8-11th Grade student course request entries.
Arena Scheduling
ARENA SCHEDULING PROCESS - This will be when, based on their previous course requests, students will select specific times and sections to fill their schedules. It is vital during this time for students to be proactive in getting online and securing their schedule. When classes fill...they must choose another class section/elective.

Important Dates
Tuesday, March 31st - Courses available to be viewed in Skyward
Beginning on Tuesday, March 31st - all NWCTC & Learning Support Students (including 8th graders) create schedules w/counselors and learning support staff. The online registration window opens at 8:00 pm.
Wednesday, April 8th - Thursday, April 9th — Current 11th Grade online registration window opens at 8:00 pm on April 8th. Students will be held in CAV rooms to schedule on April 9th if not yet completed.
Monday, April 13th - Tuesday, April 14th — Current 10th Grade online registration window opens at 8:00 pm on April 13th. Students will be held in CAV rooms to schedule on April 14th if not yet completed.
Wednesday, April 15th - Thursday, April 16th — Current 9th Grade online registration window opens at 8:00 pm on April 15th. Students will be held in CAV rooms to schedule on April 16th if not yet completed.
Monday, April 20th - Tuesday, April 21st — Current 8th Grade online registration window opens at 8:00 pm on April 20th.
- 8th Grade Special Education and CTC students must schedule prior to their peers. This window is flexible and can be completed as early as Tuesday, March 31st.
